How to Connect a .gy Domain to Your Website Builder (Lovable, Vercel, Shopify and More)
Built your website with an AI site builder like Lovable, v0, Bolt, Replit or ChatGPT, or with a host like Netlify, Shopify or Squarespace? This guide shows you how to put it on your .gy domain. With Register.gy’s free DNS it takes one click, and there are step-by-step records below if you manage DNS yourself.

The quick way: one click in your Client Area
Step 1: Add your domain in your builder
In your website builder, find the custom domain setting and add your .gy domain (for example yourbusiness.gy). Most builders call this “Domains” or “Custom domain”. If the builder shows you a verification code, keep it handy.
Step 2: Open “Website, email & DNS”
Log in to your Register.gy Client Area and click Website, email & DNS under your domain. If your domain isn’t on Register.gy DNS yet, click Use free Register.gy DNS first.
Step 3: Pick your builder and connect
On the Website tab, choose your builder, fill in anything it asks for, check the preview of the records, and click Connect. We replace the old website records for your domain and www, and leave your email records untouched.
Step 4: Finish in your builder
Go back to your builder and click “Verify” or “Check DNS”. Most builders confirm within a few minutes and then issue a free https certificate, which can take up to an hour.
DNS records for each builder
If you manage DNS yourself, or want to check what the one-click setup does, these are the records. In the “Name” column, @ means your domain itself and www means www.yourdomain.gy. Builders occasionally change their values, so if your builder shows different values, use theirs.

In Lovable, open your project’s settings, go to Domains and choose to connect a domain you already own.

Bolt, Replit, Framer, Webflow, ChatGPT-built sites and other builders
Most builders give you an address to point your domain to (something like mysite.builder.app). Choose “Other builder: gave me a web address” in the Website tab and paste it in. We set:

Register.gy DNS supports this at the root of your domain (some DNS providers don’t). If your builder instead gives you an IP address, or an IP for the main domain and an address for www (common with Wix and Webflow), choose the matching option in the Website tab.

Frequently asked questions
How long does it take for my website to show on my .gy domain?
If your domain already uses Register.gy DNS, usually a few minutes, plus up to an hour for your builder to issue the https certificate. If you’re switching to Register.gy DNS first, allow one business day for the switch.
Will connecting my website break my email?
No. Connecting a website only changes the website records for your domain and www. Your email (MX) records stay as they are.
Should visitors use www or not?
Either works. The one-click setup points both yourdomain.gy and www.yourdomain.gy at your site, and most builders let you choose which one is the main address.
Can I buy a .gy domain inside Lovable, Wix or other builders?
Many builders don’t sell .gy domains directly. Register your .gy at Register.gy, then connect it to your builder using the steps above.
